Furthermore, the magazine “Gamereactor” (nr. 110) which is published in 35,000 copies brought a focus article about us writing such kind words as: “Beauty in Chaos is something as rare as perfect debut album. Malrun could end up becoming one of the great Danish bands on the already impressive metal scene. Rating 9/10”

And yes…remember to pop by for either the release (drinking) party at Escobar in Aarhus Saturday 21st August, or the release concert in Copenhagen Thursday 26th August at Huset i Magstræde. We’ve just printed a shitload of Malrun t-shirts (designed by Spektr), so if you’d like to help us spread the word about Malrun then there’ll be plenty of options at these release events for buying one or more t-shirts (as well as the album of course). Today our album is released in DK and to celebrate the release we’ve got some news for you guys:

- We’ve removed the short teasers from our site and instead made several additional full length tracks from the album available for streaming (The Jovian Transit, Wounded Pride, The Pledge and Strapped While You Dance). Hope you like them:-)

- We’ve arranged a release party in Aarhus on Escobar Saturday 21st August from 7 PM. It’ll be all about chilling, listening to at lot of metal (including the new album of course) and we’ll provide free beer to the first bunch of people to show up. Of course the album and some new t-shirts will be available for purchase as well. So come and joins us for a good and relaxing time with plenty of beer and metal !!

- Also we’ve arranged several new concerts in DK, hereunder e.g. the release concert in Copenhagen at Huset Magstræde on Thursday 26th August. Check the concert calendar on our site for a full list of the new concerts.

- The first reviews and comments in relation to the album have already ticked in. We’re excited to see that the reactions seem to be very positive indeed!:

Hi guys.

We have made our first single (a radio edit of the track “Rise from Sorrow”) available for streaming on our web pages. The single will be released for on-line sale on 26th of July via our label Mighty Music/Target, so stay tuned for info about how to buy the single. “Rise from Sorrow” is an emotional song and shows the more melodic side of Malrun’s music, yet still with plenty of integral action in the composition. We hope you like it – feel free to send us comments on your thoughts when you hear it!

We got some great news to share with you guys!

We are insanely thrilled to announce that Malrun has just signed a record deal with Mighty Music/Target, whereby our debut album “Beauty in Chaos” will be released in Denmark in the beginning of August 2010 and in Europe in September 2010. Mighty Music/Target has announced today to various contacts and more will follow shortly on their homepages.

This deal fell into place just days before Malrun performs at SPOT Festival on Friday 21st of May 2010 at Studenterhuset at 8 PM, where we can now meet all you guys and the music industry with Target at our side. It sure feels kind of nice:-) But first and foremost, we look forward to sending our album on the street to all you good people out there very soon! More info about the exact release dates will follow shortly.

To celebrate the signing we have made one track from the album (“Ostracized”) available for streaming in full length version on our homepage myspace.com/malrundk (and soon also on malrun.dk) so that you guys get a taste of what’s to come. Furthermore, we will also release the first of three studio diary videos regarding the production of the album “Beauty in Chaos” on our homepages and youtube. Hi all!

We’re thrilled to announce that Malrun will be playing at the high profiled Spot Festival this year. A large number of interesting bands from all around Europe will play at several venues in Aarhus for a couple of days.

This year a special hardrock/metal event has been arranged on SPOT Festival called “SPOT Metal – The Nordic Explosion”. The event takes place on Studenterhuset in Aarhus on Friday 21st May from afternoon till late evening where 6 interesting Hard Rock/Metal acts will perform, hereunder Kellermench, The Psyke Project and Malrun, so it’s gonna be a hell of a night!
For those who can’t afford to buy a SPOT festival ticket it is also possible to buy access merely to the hardrock/metal event on Studenterhuset for only 70 kr. or something like that. So there’s no reason not to show up, and we really hope you’ll help us create a kick ass concert. Those who know Malrun and have heard us before can look forward to rocking out to several new tunes from the soon to be released full-length album we recorded last fall.

Hi all,

We have been doing a total redesign of our homepages www.myspace.com/malrundk and www.malrun.dk to create a graphic match towards the musical style on the new album. The Danish design agency Spektr has just launched a new version of www.malrun.dk and soon our myspace will be updated as well – so stand by for more. The designs and artwork on the homepages have all been made by Spektr and it’s become truly amazing stuff. We think a truly unique Malrun universe has been created to reflect the emotions of our music. The photos of us dressed in fancy clothes are shot by the skilled Danish photographer and Nicon ambassador Morten Rygaard.

We have decided to release a couple of teasers for you guys so that you’ll get a little taste of what to expect on the Malrun debut album (“Beauty in Chaos”). We expect to release the album in either Summer or Autum 2010, but until then you’ll be able to listen to the teasers on our homepages (the teasers are basically short extracts from some of the songs on the new album). These teasers will allow you to at least get a sense of the huge leaps that Malrun has taken on the new album both when it comes to style, song-writing and technical skills. The album is a lot more metal than our previous music (because we can’t help it…..it’s a natural instinct we guess), yet at the same time the vocals and lead guitar melodies are definitely more catchy and melodic than ever before – and it is a kick ass combination:-) We simply can’t wait to share the album with you guys, and hopefully these teasers will ignite sparks in you and make you want to hear more…
As you might now, the new album is produced, mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, The Storm, Mercenary, Raunchy, Dúné), and we are really happy with the production. Hope you’ll enjoy the teasers:-)
