Danish hard rockers MALRUN release their second album ‘The Empty Frame’ in March 2012 and follow up on the release with a 3½ week tour with Die Apokalyptischen Reiter (DE), Kontrust (AT) and Emil Bulls (DE).

‘The Empty Frame’
‘The Empty Frame’ will be released via Target / Mighty Music throughout Europe on March 5th 2012 and may very well be one of the most promising new melodic metal albums in 2012. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Mercenary, Fear My Thoughts) and will retain MALRUNs characteristic crossbreed of hard-hitting metal, groovy riffs and melodic rock. This time around, however, MALRUN has pushed things to the boundaries, making the metal elements more metal and the melodies more melodic. MALRUNs European PR and advertising is handled by Gordeon Music Promotion from Berlin. During January-March small sound and video previews of the new Malrun album can be expected on the MALRUN homepages.

European Tour
To properly kick off the release of the new album MALRUNs German booking agency Dragon Productions can now announce that MALRUN will be supporting Die Apokalyptischen Reiter (DE) on their 3½ week ‘The Greatest of the Best’ European tour from April 21st to May 13th. The tour will bring MALRUN to Germany, Holland, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland and England.

When Alter Bridge visits Denmark on Saturday 12th of November in Kolding (Godset) Malrun will be main support.
On a musical level it is a perfect match with Malrun and Alter Bridge as both bands combine hardness with good melodies, and we will do our best to get the party started that night. On a personal level it is a childhood dream playing with our idols Tremonti and Kennedy, and we have been listening to Creed and Alter Bridge since we learned which way is up on a guitar. It doesn’t get much cooler than sharing the stage with Tremonti and co.
Come to Kolding on 12th November you all and help us make a bang of an evening!!

Hello everyone!

We just came back from the European Tour with Audrey Horne (Norwegian hard rockers).. We really had a blast playing our butts off and drinking our brains out every night! Thanks to all of you who attended the gigs and helped support us on our first tour outside Denmark.

Apart from that, we thought that Myspace needed a little fresh air, so we decided to add two new tracks from our debut album “Beauty in Chaos”. It is “Winter’s Kiss” and “Trim The Fat” – a ballad and a kick ass heavy monster We hope that you enjoy the songs..

Only weeks after entering into a European booking deal with Dragon Productions we are excited to announce that our first international tour has now fallen into place. From 8th April to 17th April we are going on a 10 day nightliner tour supporting the Norwegian hardrock band Audrey Horne. The tour is presented in cooperation with e.g. Metal Hammer and consists of 7 concerts in a number of the larger German cities and 2 concerts in Schwitzerland:

We are proud to announce that we have just entered into a European booking deal with the German booking company Dragon Productions which has a number of international hardrock and metal bands in their stable (Ektomorf, Unsun, Pain of Salvation, Tyr, Stuck Mojo, The Storm etc.). Dragon Productions also did European booking for Volbeat for years, and has now chosen Malrun as one of their new names. The news will soon be published on Dragon Production’s home page http://www.dragon-productions.eu.

It is a huge step for us. Our debut album from 2010 has received great reviews in Europe, but if you really mean business you have to plays concerts also outside Denmark, and the new European booking deal opens up for European tours etc. very soon. This is what we have been dreaming and fighting for, so now we can hardly wait getting out there, driving full speed down the German Autobahn!

We can also announce, that we have booked studio time with Jacob Hansen end of 2011, so Malrun’s next album will hit the streets probably in the first half of 2012. But for now 2011 shall be used promoting our debut album by starting the new concert activities outside Denmark’s borders.

Our next concert in Denmark is Saturday 29th January at the one-day festival Midwinter Meltdown (Underværket, Randers), where we will play with e.g. Mercenary. So see you guys there for a kick ass concert!
